Re-wrap it is a zero-waste lifestyle brand based in the West End of Glasgow, founded by Shona. Originally trained as a Landscape Architect, Shona began looking for a simpler, green alternative to cling film, tin foil, and plastic bags when making packed lunches for her children, and from that idea, the original Wrapper was born.
The Wrappers were an immediate hit at home, and Shona began making them on her kitchen table and selling them at school fairs and local events. After a journalist featured the product in a national paper, the brand quickly grew beyond its early beginnings.
Sustainability and social responsibility sit at the heart of Re-wrap it. The food wrapped are made locally, with much of the manufacturing carried out by inmates at Kilmarnock Prison. This approach allows the product to be produced in Scotland while also offering inmates the opportunity to learn practical skills that may support rehabilitation and future employment.
Re-wrap it continues to evolve its designs, experimenting with new colours and materials while staying true to its mission of reducing waste and offering practical, reusable alternatives for everyday life.
